The second act of the Nordic Combined World Cup 2016-'17 will be staged in Lillehammer, location became a fixture of most only past decade circuit.

The town dell''Oppland, theater of the legendary Olympic Winter Games in 1994, has struggled long before finding a permanent space in the calendar. At least the constant is represented by its position at the beginning of winter, never changed from the first occasional appearance (1998) until now.
So far on these snows you have played 23 individual competitions top level, won by 13 different athletes representing only 5 nations.
Curiously in Lillehammer it seems to be a sort of curse that strikes those who require 3 times. A threshold beyond which no one has yet been able to go beyond.
Athletes of the caliber of Hannu Manninen, Eric Frenzel, Jason Lamy-Chappuis and Magnus Moan fact they all celebrated on three occasions, but after their third statement no longer trod the top step of the podium.
It should be noted as the German and French can boast victories in three winters (2011, 2013, 2014 for twenty-eight Saxon; 2009, 2010, 2013 for the thirty trans), while the two Nordic are the only ones who have repeated success in 'span of twenty four hours.
Realizing Frenzel, Moan and Manninen are eight active athletes to have excelled in this context of the bid.
The Norwegian Mikko Kokslien is credited with two statements. The countrymen Håvard Klemetsen and Magnus Krog have instead celebrated on a single occasion, as well as the Teutonic Tino Edelmann and Fabian Rießle.
In particular, the latter is proving a great feeling with the dell'Østlandet facility. No coincidence that the now twenty-six of the Baden-Württemberg concluded the first or second all races on this slope from 2014 onwards.
On the subject of nations it is not surprising that both Norway to dominate the scene. The hosts were imposed in almost half of the competitions go on stage (11). Following at a safe distance by Germany with 5. Manninen and Lamy-Chappuis allow Finland and France to be at stake 3. The 'Austria has however excelled first time.
Here Italy has got a podium. About, of course, Alessandro Pittin, placed second 3 December 2011 in the test won by Klemetsen.
