Nordic Combined: Johannes Lamparter is there, a personality victory in Klingenthal and Riiber is achieved

After the triptych of races in Val di Fiemme, the Nordic Combined World Cup has moved to Germany, in Klingenthal for a very important weekend of races, since it will be the penultimate before Beijing 2022, given the recent cancellation of the stage of Planica. Absent Italy, as well as the cup leader Jarl Magnus Riiber. In Race 1 success for Lamparter ahead of Ilves and Yamamoto.

A victory built with a very solid jumping test and a cross-country segment of absolute personality. Halfway through the race, the young Austrian paid a minimum gap to the Ilves-Yamamoto duo. On narrow skis he immediately closed the gap and took the lead, keeping a high pace, to try to break away from his opponents and keep the chasing group at a distance, led by Eric Frenzel and Akito Watabe. Lamparter succeeded in not being caught but the fight for success was resolved only in the sprint. In the final gymkana he was the most shrewd and took the lead on the finish straight, printing Ilves and Yamamoto, respectively in second and third place. Julian Schmid 4th, Akito Watabe 5th, with Eric Frenzel 6th finished at the foot of the podium.
