Nordic Combined: Norway wins the world title in the Team Event

Thanks to a royal sprint, Jarl Magnus Riiber brought the norge quartet to the top step of the podium. Germany had to be satisfied with the place of honor, which preceded Austria on the finishing line.

This morning in the jump segment Austria and Japan have made the difference compared to all other nations. The quartet of the house, dragged by Mario Seidl and Franz-Josef Rehrl, both landed at 111.5 m, has in fact beat just nine tenths of the Japanese. On the other hand, 17 "and 41" favorites were paid for the eve, Norway and Germany. Good test for Italy, which with two excellent jumps of Kostner and Costa was in fifth place at 1'25 "from the summit, but then relegated to 11th place in 4 minutes, Samuel Costa was in fact disqualified for irregular length of the skis. In the cross-country segment, Austria deployed Bernhard Gruber in the first division, who tried to run away, pulling off Go Yamamoto and gaining a few seconds against Espen BjÃ¸rnstad and Johannes Rydzek. In the second and third fraction Seidl and Rehrl, however, have not managed to contain the comeback of Germany and Norway. A trio was formed at the helm of the race, with Japan in fourth place to chase. Lukas Klapfer, Vinzenz Geiger and Jarl Magnus Riiber played medals in the final 5km. However, none of the three had the courage to attack and tactics prevailed. Everything was then decided in the sprint, where Riiber was once again regal and left no way out to Vinzenz Geiger, second on the finish line, and Lukas Klapfer, third. Fourth place for Japan that preceded Finland 5th and France 6th. With a good test on the narrow skis Aaron Kostner, Raffaele Buzzi, Samuel Costa and Alessandro Pittin went up to the seventh position.
