Taking advantage of the absence of Jarl Magnus Riiber and all the big Germans, the Norwegian has prevailed in the last race before the World Championships in Seefeld.

In the late morning today the jump segment was dominated by Mario Seidl. The Austrian, landed at 132 m, two meters beyond the HS point, with discrete but not exceptional stylistic evaluations, has trimmed important gaps to all the opponents. Behind him is attested Akito Watabe (124 m), separated by a good 43 ", while the Norwegian Espen Bjørnstad closed third at 58". All the others paid over a minute of distance, starting with Hideaki Nagai, 4th at 1'06 ", who preceded Jørgen Graabak 5th (+1: 14).
Akito Watabe started the basic fraction with a sustained pace to try to fill the gap with the tread. In front of Seidl he tried to manage the big advantage but with the passing of the kilometers he gradually lost ground. At the crossing of the intermediate place to 6.1 km the Japanese has completed the chase and without delay has led the head to try to keep a wild Graabak away. The Norwegian was back on Watabe at the beginning of the last lap, while Seidl at the first acceleration came off.
On the final ascent Graabak has further increased the pace, thus taking the finish line in the lead. In the last few meters Watabe has tried the desperate comeback but the photofinish has rewarded the Norwegian, who thus obtained the sixth career success in the World Cup. Instead, he had to settle for third position Mario Seidl, who preceded the Norwegians Bjørnstad and Krog, respectively 4th and 5th. Also included in the top 10 were Ilkka Herola 6th, Bernhard Gruber 7th, Eero Hirvonen 8th, Leevi Mutru 9th and Wilhelm Denifl 10th.
Good team test for Italy, which brought four athletes in the points area. The best among the Azzurri was Alessandro Pittin, recovering from the 31st to the 14th place. A day to remember for Aaron Kostner, at points in the World Cup for the first time in his career. The Gardena finished 22nd just in front of Samuel Costa 23rd, Raffaele Buzzi finished 27th instead.
On Saturday a Team Sprint took place, won thanks to a comeback in the bottom part by the Finns Ilkka Herola and Eero Hirvonen. The hosts have beaten Norway I (Bjørnstad-Graabak). Third place for Austria I (Denifl-Seidl), who in the final took advantage of the fall of Norway II and Japan I. Seventh position for the Italians Kostner and Pittin.
