This weekend in Chaux Neuve (Fra) was staged the Nordic Combined Triple, a multistage test of three races that this year had to abandon its usual location, Seefeld, which in a few weeks will host the Nordic ski world championships.

In the first race disputed on Friday with a jump segment on Large Hill and a fraction of a distance over a distance of 5 kilometers, the first victory in the World Cup for Franz-Josef Rehrl came. The Austrian, in command after the jump segment, defended himself well on the narrow skis, containing the comeback of Fabian Riessle, Akito Watabe and Espen Bjørnstad. These three athletes in the final were played the remaining positions of the podium. In the end the sprint saw the Norwegian prevail over the German, while the winner of the last World Cup was finished at the foot of the podium. On the other hand, the leader of the general classification Jarl Magnus Riiber closed 7th. For Italy entered the Samuel Costa points 20th zone.

In the Saturday jump segment, Franz-Josef Rehrl scored the best score, increasing his lead over his pursuers. The Austrian has thus started in the background test (10 km) with a margin of 45 "on Yoshito Watabe and 53" on Akito Watabe. Once again, Rehrl was good at managing on tight skis, thus obtaining the second victory in two days. Behind him, Akito Watabe was joined by a threesome composed by Fabian Riessle, Espen Bjørnstad and Mario Seidl. This time the Japanese was brighter in the sprint ahead of the German and the Norwegian. Two Italians in the top 30: Samuel Costa 21st and Alessandro Pittin 27th.
RACE 2
1. REHRL Franz-Josef (AUT) 22: 58.7 2. WATABE Akito (JPN) +24.3 3. RIESSLE Fabian (GER) +24.8
On Sunday the third and final race was held, with two series of jump and bottom fraction on the unusual distance of 15 kilometers. On the trampoline the Austrian Mario Seidl has made the difference sharply, taking the lead of the Nordic Combined Triple with a 37 "advantage over compatriot Franz-Josef Rehrl and 1'08" on Espen Bjørnstad. In the fund, Seidl has gradually lost ground against the pursuers but has retained a 25 "lead over the finish line, thus achieving the second success in the World Cup career. Behind Rehrl was reached and overtaken by Riessle, who won the third podium in three days. The Austrian has instead closed in third place, concluding very well a triumphant weekend. The Norwegians Graabak and Riiber finished 4th and 5th respectively at the foot of the podium. Costa and Pittin confirmed themselves on the levels expressed during the whole three days of competitions and were in 21st and 24th place.

Despite a weekend of races not up to expectations the Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber remains firmly in command of the overall standings of the World Cup with 858 points. Mario Seidl took the second position at 669 meters, ahead of Johannes Rydzek, standing at 648.
Next week the World Cup will stop in Trondheim, Norway, where two individual competitions will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
