Johannes Rydzek has won the first professional Olympic medal in his career by beating his compatriots Riessle and Frenzel.

The jump segment, disputed in the late Korean afternoon, saw Akito Watabe and Jarl Magnus Riiber stand out, respectively first and second and separated by just 3 tenths. Their performances, albeit good, have not allowed to dig an important groove towards the competition.
