Italian Cup Cascina Bianca, triumph in mass starts in Liguria for Michael Galassi and Paola Beri

The national roller ski circuit made a stop between Cicagna and Santo Stefano d''Aveto: the results of the second day of competitions.

After the Sprint challenges that took place on Saturday in Cicagna, the Genoese stage of the Cascina Bianca Italian Cup of roller skis has come to an end. A mass start in classic technique uphill is scheduled, which took place from Rezzoaglio to Santo Stefano d''Aveto, also in the province of Genoa. In the men's race the success of a very good Michael Galassi was clear; the 1990 class of the Orsago Ski Club imposed himself with a wide margin of advantage, with a 1'11 ”lead from Matteo Tanel (Team Robinson), who came in second position. In third place another member of the Italian national team, Riccardo Lorenzo Masiero, athlete of the Valdobbiadene Ski Club, 1'43 ”behind. At the foot of the podium, a specialist of the format, Luca Curti (SC Orsago), arrived just over two minutes. Lorenzetti, fifth overall, was the best junior. The match was very important for the Italian national teams at the start, as in two months the same format will take place in the World Cup on Terminillo. Without history, the women's 7 km, which saw Paola Beri triumph. The 47-year-old from Nordik Ski Valsassina proved to be very competitive in this competition format, winning with a margin of 2''04 ”on Camilla Crippa (Team Brianza), very young class 2005. In third place Lisa Bolzan (Orsago). The 7 km were also tackled by the C Masters (F4). Success for Giuseppe Antonio Gervasoni (UBI Banca Goggi), who finished with a 56 ”7 advantage over Guido Masiero (Valdobbiadene) and 7''51” 6 over Vincenzo Maffeis (Valgandino). In the ranking by society, which included all categories in the competition, the victory went to the Ski Club Valdobbiadene.
