The penultimate day of the world championship in Latvia gives the third medal to the Italian national team, with Matteo Tanel splendid silver in the men's mass start in free technique on the 20 km. Male sector: the junior mass start (20 km) saw two Azzurri finish in the top ten, with Riccardo Lorenzo Masiero again at high levels for the third consecutive race, excellent 7th in front of Andrea Gartner from Friuli, who finished 10th in the great day of Alexander Grigoriev, the Russian already silver between distance in classic and sprint and able to beat everyone in the final volatona, starting from the Swedish Ekberg, silver, and from the compatriot Karakosov to the end bronze.
