With the seasonal opening of Nizhny Tagil closed, this weekend the Women's Ski Jumping World Cup stopped in Lillehammer, where two individual races were staged, one on Normal Hill and the other on Large Hill. Little satisfaction for Italy which did not collect points.

In fact, the sisters Lara and Jessica Malsiner were present in Norway, appearing to be of technical difficulty on both types of trampoline. Jessica did not make it past the qualifying cut while Lara finished both races in 33rd place, for a weekend far below expectations.
The one who was able to rejoice was the Austrian Marita Kramer, second in Race 1 behind Katharina Althaus, and winner of Race 2, the first of the season on Large Hill. For the 2001 Austrian class came the tenth victory in his career, the fifth on a large trampoline. With the 180 points obtained in Norway he also kept the yellow bib as the leader of the general classification which he drives in front of the same Althaus. The German, with a first and a second place, equalized the score with the rival and pays a gap of 45 points in the ranking. The success in Race 1 represents the 8th seal in the World Cup, the first in two seasons now.
The Slovenian Ursa Bogataj confirmed herself on excellent levels and in Race 1 she conquered the second consecutive podium after the one obtained in Russia, finishing third in front of the Norwegian Opseth. Bogataj then finished 6th in Race 2 while Opseth took his revenge, climbing to the lowest step of the podium. On the other hand, Ema Klinec, 9a and 4a, lost ground in general, while Nika Kriznar and Sara Takanashi, still in the top 10 but far from the podium area, still have to find the ideal state of form. Next week appointment in Klingenthal (Ger), where two individual races are scheduled on Large Hill.
