In the late afternoon today the qualification for tomorrow's race was staged, 71 jumpers were represented in the starting line, representing 18 nations. Kamil Stoch, defrauded in Oslo by the race direction, has shown everyone to be, not one, but two levels above the opponents. With an exceptional jump of 139.5 m, the Pole inflicted 17 points behind his compatriot Kubacki, landed eight meters earlier. Stoch's performance takes on even greater value if one thinks it was achieved with more than half a meter of wind behind it.
Third position, just one tenth from Kubacki, for Robert Johansson who had the best of teammate Andreas Stjernen. Richard Freitag, second in the overall standings, did not go beyond the 19th position, even worse did Andreas Wellinger 22nd, a clear decline in condition in the last races.
Among the Blues the best was definitely Sebastian Colloredo who finished 40th, but Alex Insam, Davide Bresadola and Roberto Dellasega, respectively 52nd, 61st and 66th, did not pass the best. Among the eliminated to report also the Russian Klimov 53 °, the Austrian Daniel Huber 54 ° and the Slovenian Anze Lanisek 64 °.
