Salto: Kamil Stoch without rivals in Lahti

The Polish dominated the Lahti race, winning the second consecutive World Cup victory. Piazza d''honor for Ryoyu Kobayashi who is firmly in command of the general.

The first series of the individual race was strongly influenced by the wind, which, as often happens in Lahti, has changed direction several times. In the final all the big ones, however, found favorable conditions and were able to express themselves at best. Kamil Stoch, with a jump of 132.5 m stylistically exceptional, trimmed almost 10 points behind Stefan Kraft, arrived at 128 m. Behind the leader, however, there was great balance. The Polish has thus obtained the second consecutive victory in the World Cup, the 37th in career in individual competitions of the first level. In the end, the points of margin on the second place were even 17. In the place of honor was Ryoyu Kobayashi, who with a jump of 129.5 m, best measure of the series, has reassembled three positions. After today's race the Japanese is firmly in command of the overall World Cup standings with 1460 points, 431 more than Stoch, second at 1029. Kraft, now fourth, is third with 967 points. On the lowest step of the podium was Robert Johansson, who preceded the Salzburg with 3 lengths. Good performance also for the other two Norwegians in the race, Halvor Egner Granerud 5th and Johann Andre Forfang 7th. Among them was Karl Geiger 6th, coming back from the 16th square. Killian Peier 8th, Anti Aalto 9th and Piotr Zyla 10th were also in the top ten. Michael HaybÃ¶ck slipped to 13th place.
