This weekend the Jumping World Cup stopped in Zakopane, where a Team Event and an individual event were held.

In the late afternoon of Saturday the Team Event was staged, which gave joy and pain to Germany. The Germans imposed themselves for only one-tenth on their Austrian rivals, after a very uncertain and spectacular competition, but they lost David Siegel for the whole season. In the second series the rising star of the Teutonic movement landed at 142.5 m, but it crashed and came out of the toboggan stadium. Behind Germany and Austria came Poland, which preceded Slovenia and Japan. Eighth place for Norway, penalized by the disqualification of Johann Andre Forfang.
The good weekend of Austria continued on Sunday, thanks to Stefan Kraft. The Salzburg closed the first half of the race with a jump of 133 m carried out with favorable wind conditions, and preceded by a length the Japanese Yukiya Sato and 2.2 points the Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud. If Kraft was able to better express his technical gesture, the same can not be said of the other big, who had to face a lot of crosswind. Kamil Stoch, idol of home, did not even pass the cut, finishing the race in 36th position. Ryoyu Kobayashi limited the damage and finished 23rd.
In the second series the leader of the general classification of the World Cup has reassembled up to the 7th place thanks to a jump of 133 m. The victory went to Kraft, landed at 132.5 m. This measure allowed him to inflict a 2.6 points gap to Robert Johansson, able to overtake Sato, 3rd at the end of the race, and Granerud, 5th. At the foot of the podium was Johann Andre Forfang, a comeback from the 19th place and author of the best score in the second series.
Kraft then returned to success after almost two years of fasting, not only for him but for the entire Austrian movement, and he won the 15th victory in first level individual competitions. For Johansson is the first podium of the season, for Sato the first podium in his career.
Also in the top 10 were the Austrian Daniel Huber 6th, Ryoyu Kobayashi, Stephan Leyhe and Timi Zajc, seventh and the Czech Roman Koudelka 10th. On the contrary, he only finished in 12th position Dawid Kubacki, winner last week in Predazzo.
