One stadium, the Fiemmese one, ready to host an event in support of Matteo Antico.

Next August 13th will be a special day. In Predazzo will go on stage "Make a jump for Matteo", a sport and solidarity initiative to help the former ski jumper from Trentino, a native of the local symbol for the Italian jump, victim last summer of a serious accident with the paragliding.
Matteo, born in '83, also took part in the senior national team, taking part in the qualifying race of the World Cup stage in 1999, right on the trampoline in Val di Fiemme. He will not be able to break through and become a champion, but Antico's passion for jumping has remained the same over the years, so much so that he still enjoyed wearing the jump suit and the helmet by participating in some races reserved for master athletes.
Given his passion for flying, in parallel Matteo will also develop a passion for paragliding. A love that will cost him a lot though; it was July 25, 2018, or San Giacomo, the day of the patron saint of Predazzo. Flying in the area of Alpe Cermis, the former blue jumper falls to the ground in the landing phase, when something goes wrong, falling from a few tens of meters. The very violent impact on the ground means suffering devastating traumas to the lower limbs but also to the head. Another flight, this time with the helicopter, takes the young Fiemme to the Santa Chiara hospital in Trento, where a very delicate clinical picture emerges from the first minutes: Matteo is in a coma, fighting for more than two months between life and death.
Then something unlocks, the force of life takes the upper hand with determination and, even in small steps, Matteo wakes up, starts to fight and to face the tiring rehabilitation therapies. Progress is slow but visible, Antico is still in a wheelchair today but is determined to find himself again. Around him the family and friends of all time, who are doing their utmost to do everything possible to help him in this difficult journey; with them the Predazzo Dolomites Sports Union has also joined the field, flanked by numerous entities in the area and by the solidarity of a community that, as always, in its time of need, knows how to make a square squeezing around those in need.
To give Matteo concrete help, the event "Make a jump for Matteo" was created, an event with free admission and drinks / activities for a fee that aims to raise funds to help the young predazzano. The appointment is therefore scheduled for Tuesday, August 13th, starting at 4:00 pm, at the Predazzo jumping stadium, where the national men's and women's blue jump teams will be present in full detail.
THE PROGRAM OF THE EVENT
From 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm: guided tour of the Predazzo ski jumps and the chance to try the jump on the small K4 mobile trampoline. "Olympic snack" for all children in the facility that will host the jumping and combined Nordic competitions of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games 2026.
From 17.30 to 18.15: talk show "Olympics yesterday, today and tomorrow ... Milan-Cortina 2026" in the presence of Alessandro Pittin, Fabio Morandini and a young local nursery jumper who could aspire to participate in the 2026 Games.
From 6.15 pm to 7.00 pm: "Olympic Aperitif" - The "Spaghettata degli Ex Saltatori" will follow - meeting of all the former jumpers of Italy.
8:50 pm: first team race jump with mixed teams that will compete on the K20, K30, K90, K120 trampolines.
9.20 pm: the experience of Matteo Antico - story of his life before and after the accident with the participation of Matteo himself, his family members and with the involvement of the doctors of the intensive care unit of the Santa Chiara Hospital of Trento and of the hospital Villa Rosa di Pergine Valsugana rehabilitation center.
21:40 hours: final jump and symbolic awarding of the first ranked team - Music and food stands in operation throughout the evening.
