Ski jumping: Kubacki in front of everyone in the qualification in Innsbruck, eliminated Giovanni Bresadola

The third chapter of the Four Hills Tournament, in Innsbruck, opens under the sign of World Cup leader Dawid Kubacki who clearly imposes himself in qualifying for tomorrow's race. Good performance for Insam and Cecon, out Giovanni Bresadola.

Second consecutive elimination for the young Trentino player after that of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, who finished 53rd with a jump of 106.5 m. On the other hand, Francesco Cecon, excellent 37th, and Alex Insam, 47th, took the pass for tomorrow's race (first series starting at 13:30). Tomorrow the Azzurri will have a prohibitive task in the first series, as they will face respectively Halvor Egner Granerud, today only 13th, and Marius Lindvik, two really difficult customers to be able to dream of the points zone. Having said that Bresadola failed to qualify, the debacle of Karl Geiger should also be underlined, only 51st. Instead, the leader of the general classification of the World Cup Dawid Kubacki stood out ahead of all, who with the best distance of the day (128 m), preceded his compatriot Kamil Stoch by 4 pts, with the Slovenian Anze Lanisek 3rd at over 10 lengths and Lindvik 4th. On the eve of the third stage of the Four Hills Tournament, Granerud leads the standings towards the conquest of the golden eagle with a clear margin, of 26.8 pts, against Kubacki himself. Third place for Zyla, who however pays 40 pts, and precedes Lanisek at -51 pts.
