After the Titisee-Neustadt weekend, the men's Ski Jumping World Cup gets underway with the pre-Christmas classic in Engelberg, which, as per tradition, is the dress rehearsal for the Four Hills Tournament. The blue team, present in Switzerland with three men, continues its growth path.

One of the most important moments of the season is approaching: the Four Hills Tournament, which will start as usual from Oberstdorf on December 28, and Italy continues to give good signs after a truly encouraging start to the winter. In qualifying for Race-1 at Engelberg (Sui) all three Azzurri made it through the gap and will take part in tomorrow's first series. The best was Alex Insam 24th, but Giovanni Bresadola 31st and Francesco Cecon 46th also defended themselves very well.
In front of everyone was Halvor Egner Granerud, who with a jump of 136.5 m trimmed almost eight points to Stefan Kraft. Third place for Dawid Kubacki, who preceded Lanisek 4th and Fettner 5th. Encouraging signs arrived from Ryoyu Kobayashi 8th and Kamil Stoch 11th, while Geiger 29th struggled more. Among the eliminations it should be noted that of Simon Ammann, only 51st.
