Yesterday’s qualification resulted in an excellent exclusion, that of Stefan Kraft, and some very interesting heads up. Halvor Egner Granerud, second in the Tournée ranking, finished 27th and will therefore have to jump third in the first series, much earlier than rivals Kobayashi and Geiger, who we will see instead at the end of the series.
The Norwegian will then face Dawid Kubacki, in slow recovery, the German will face Trofimov and the Japanese with Boyd-Clowes. Among the other jumpers vying for the final victory, Johansson will face Zografski, while Lindvik will have a Norwegian derby with Johann Andre Forfang. Among the Azzurri, Giovanni Bresadola passed the cut, who will face the young Austrian Daniel Tschofenig in the head-to-head.

After the inaugural stage in Oberstdorf, Ryoyu Kobayashi leads the ranking of the Tour of the four hills with 2.8 points on Granerud and 3.4 on Johansson. Lindvik and Geiger are fully in the running and pay 5.7 and 6.1 lengths, while the Slovenian Kos is sixth at 12.5 points.
The Japanese, who also impressed in qualifying, managing the strong wind behind him in the best possible way, is hunting for the second victory in Garmisch-Partenkirchen after that of 2019. His success would be significant as it would lead to 7 stage victories in the Tournée , surpassing Kamil Stoch and becoming the most successful in business.
