At Dobbiaco first win in Skar career

First success in the World Cup for Bjørnestad Sindre Skar. The Norwegian, already on the podium in the season at Davos, was imposed in the sprint skating in Dobbiaco, adjusting Simeon Hamilton and Johannes Høsflot Klæbo. He stopped at the foot of the podium Federico Pellegrino fourth.

As happened a few minutes earlier in the women's field, even among men it took the photo finish to determine the winner. If one of the girls had been 8 hundredths of a second to establish the success of Natalia Matveeva of Maiken Caspersen Falla, the gap between male and Skar Hamilton was only 3. The final was characterized by great balance, at least five athletes perfectly in the race for the podium until the final straight 'arrival. The more enterprising, in the final act, was Pellegrino, who on the last two tears attempted to select the group and take off. The Val d'Aosta, very convincing in the semifinals, however, has proven not to enjoy the same condition last year, gaining little or nothing uphill and being sucked by the opponents in view of the last corner. Skar and Hamilton battled for first place, while Klæbo folded with relative ease the blue in the match for the third. Slightly more detached Swiss Jovian Hediger, while almost never in the race was Håvard SOLAS Taugbøl, the best in qualifying. It was eliminated in the semifinals Chanavat Lucas, author of the second half in the morning, as Pål Golberg. The latter has however taken the lead of the specialty rankings, taking advantage of today's 0 Sergey Ustiugov out in qualifying. The Norwegian is now in the lead with 190 points, against 182 Russian and 165 of Finn Haagen Krogh, absent. Skar salt in fourth place with 160, one more than Pellegrino. Nothing done regarding the fight for the overall World Cup. At the summit, with 1138 points, remains Martin Johnsrud Sundby, who was also absent, which keeps unchanged the distances to Ustiugov, trailing by 177 lengths. Third Matti Heikkinen at an altitude of 741, ahead of Alex Harvey, now eliminated in the quarter, rising to 594. Of note, in the house Italy, the points collected by Simone Urbani, standing in the quarterfinals. SPRINT TL DOBBIACO MEN - FINAL 1. Sindre Bjørnestad SKAR (NOR) 2: 47.91 2.
