Solo Bjrgen in the 30 km Oslo

It began a monologue on the first meter and finished last. Hard to imagine a more dominant performance than that staged by Marit Bjørgen in the 30 km of Oslo. The Norwegian has left more than two minutes the most immediate pursuers, adjust the sprint by Krista Pärmäkoski of Kerttu Niskanen.

It took about two kilometers because the most successful cross-country skier of all ages did the void behind him. The most active in trying to contain his progression was Charlotte Kalla, whose work did not prevent the gap from growing in Intermediate Intermediate: the 30-second barrier was already smashed to 7.2 km, that of minutes to 12.6. At no point in the race someone gave the impression of being able to worry Bjørgen, which occurred for the last time in the stadium with a margin well above the two minutes. It has thus been able to give an arrival on parade, with bows and greetings to the public, to celebrate yet another day to record victories in the test most prestigious Cup rise to 6 (the first dates back to 2006), the overall total in competitions first level become 123. Much fiercer was the fight for the less noble steps of the podium. Behind Bjørgen was formed, after 8 km, a squad made up of Kalla, Pärmäkoski, Niskanen, Justyna Kowalczyk, Aino-Kaisa Saarinen, Heidi Weng and Nathalie von Siebenthal, on which she returned later Anna Haag. Von Siebenthal and Haag have given just before the twentieth kilometer. The other six, drag in the final especially by the Finnish trio, continued compact until the final meters. Second and third place were therefore assigned in a sprint that saw Pärmäkoski and Niskanen relegated to fourth Heidi Weng. Kalla finished fifth, ahead of Kowalczyk and Saarinen. A few seconds later came ingvild flugstad østberg, in big trouble in the early stages but the author of a great last third of the race, in which he maintained the same pace of the leaders. Also in the ten Haag and Laura Mononen. What caught today by Weng is the third place to the foot of the podium of his career in the 30 km at Holmenkollen, without ever being successful placing among the top three. The 25 year-old native of Ytre Enebakk can console himself looking at the overall standings of the World Cup, where the 300-point margin of Pärmäkoski (1746 against 1446) make it effectively unreachable. Finland makes a significant step forward in the race to the place of honor, rising to +94 on Østberg, now in 1352. Stina Nilsson, not race today, remains fourth in 1209. Bjørgen it is fifth, at an altitude of 975. 30 KM TC OSLO - FINAL 1. Marit Bjoergen (NOR) 1: 22: 59.2 2. Krista PÄRMÄKOSKI (FIN) +2: 05.8 3. Kerttu Niskanen (FIN) +2: 07.0 4.
