Another success of Marit Bjoergen in the women's sprint free technique in Davos, the Norwegian imposes on the photo finish Kikkan Randall and Denise Herrmann.

To the greatest distance runner of all time is win number 26 in a sprint World Cup and the number 91 overall. Today was not easy because, after having passed without the slightest difficulty batteries and semi-final, in the final Kikkan Randall has sold his life dearly, attacking on the last climb and appearing in the lead on the final straight. Here Bjoergen was able, however, to impose its law, recovering and going to the American triumph thanks to a better split. Randall must therefore settle for second consecutive runner in a sprint after the Kuusamo.
Second consecutive podium for Denise Herrmann, who has been confirmed as one of the world's strongest sprinter in both techniques whereas in Kuusamo finished third in the classic technique. Beaten in the final Hanna Eriksson and also the Swedish Stina Nilsson, fourth and sixth, respectively, and the Slovenian Vesna Fabjan fifth. Logically, with a hundred points today Bjoergen further strengthens its leadership position in the overall standings of the World Cup.
Good news, if so, we can define, for the color blue. Greta Laurent and Gaia Vuerich in fact qualify and, while being eliminated in the battery, record the first points of the season for the'' Italy in the World Cup Cross Country Skiing female. Out in the battery also Justyna Kowalczyk, who qualified for the skin of our teeth (just three hundredths of a margin of Charlotte Kalla, before excluded), but never in the running for the'' semi-finals, the Polish confirms once more all its current difficulties in step rink.
