The 2019 World Championships in Seefeld opened in Austria with the qualification of distance tests in classical technique.

A sort of opening ceremony on the Austrian snow, with the celebration of cross-country skiing in the world. A few falls too much, rough techniques but a lot of passion for tight skis, lots of smiles and the desire to be at the starting gate at these world championships. The men's qualification in the 10 km was won by the Belgian Thibaut De Marre 27''56 '' '' 7, according to Thai Mark Chanloung at 13 '' '' 1, third Icelandic Albert Jonsson at 28 '' '' 5. They qualify in the order Dal Farra (ARG), Konya (HUN), Benediktsson (ISL), Malchov (BUL), Dal Farra (ARG), Seyd (IRI), Batmunkh (MGL).
