The Norway dominates the 4x5 km women's relay race in Lillehammer

Norway I (Heidi Weng, Therese Johaug, Kristin Steira and Marit Bjoergen, ie the same quartet that won gold in the world Val di Fiemme) won without any difficulty the women's relay at Lillehammer.

The race lasts for only a fraction of fact, the one where Heidi Weng merely skim the lead group on the first exchange in fact there are six teams grouped in the lead. In the second Therese Johaug ago emptiness, accumulating a resounding margin than forty seconds, just five kilometers that no other nation can think of to recover. Also because there is a third fraction Kristin Steira who runs with great energy and intelligence advantage, giving Marit Bjoergen change with thirty-five seconds margin on Finland. To the greatest distance runner of all time is a joke to complete successfully the eighth consecutive World Cup relay race. Second place went to Finland (Aino Kaisa Saarinen, Anne Kyllonen, Kerttu Niskanen and Krista Lähteenmäki), which clearly wins the race of the other teams thanks to an excellent third quarter of Niskanen. Third step of the podium for the United States (Kikkan Randall, Sadie Bjornsen, Elizabeth Stephen and Jessica Diggins), fighting to the last for second place before Diggins must bow to the majority of freshness Lähteenmäki. The Americans, however, are building a team behind Randall at the highest level that can grow further in the future. Disappointment of the day Sweden (Ida Ingemarsdotter, Hanna Eriksson, Charlotte Kalla and Britta Johansson Norgren), only sixth behind also in Norway II (Ingvild Flugstad Ostberg, Vibeke Skofterud, Astrid Jacobsen and Maiken Caspersen Falla) and Russia I (Julia Ivanova , Alija Iksanova, Mariya Guschina and Yulia Tchekaleva) despite an impressive third leg of Kalla. The Italian quartet (Virginia Topranin Martin De Lucia Scardoni, Ilaria Debertolis and newcomer Francesca Baudin) terminates in seventeenth place out of eighteen teams entered. Result in line with the current health of our movement. RELAY 4X5 KM LILLEHAMMER - FINAL STANDINGS 1. NORWAY The 58'' 38 "9 2. FINLAND at 1:13" 1 3. UNITED STATES at 1:36 "5 4.
