After winning two stages of multistage events, Alex Harvey claimed his first victory in the World Cup in the sprint free technique Szklarska Poreba.

For the Canadian is a deserved victory, although obtained in a particular context. Completing the picture of the finalists in the Swiss Martin Jäger fifth and in turn ever so well in the World Cup, and the USA's Andy Newell sixth, was the victim of a fall in the closing stages of the final.
Opportunity wasted by Federico Pellegrino. The Val d'Aosta, leader of the specialty, had recorded the fastest time in qualifying, but the battery was beaten at the photo finish by Nikita Kriukov and Jay Renaud, then finished off in the semifinals. Pellegrino, however, thanks to the numerous absences and the disappointing results of the most formidable adversaries (Kriukov Petukhov and all), it keeps the red bib, which will have to defend in two weeks in Dobbiaco.
In the overall standings of the World Cup will not change anything with Sundby, who remained in Norway at the national championships, the first ever widely.
