Team Event at the World Championships in Lahti: Russia and Germany triumph

On the Lahti springboard today the Team Event has been played with the overwhelming victory of Russia in the women's field, while in the men's category the Germany of measure has won.

The female Team Event was literally dominated by the Russian quartet that led from beginning to end. The first spin of jumps made it clear immediately that the athletes to beat were the 4 Russian jumpers Iakovleva, Barantceva, Shpyneva and Iakovleva, who concluded with a partial 447.5 points. In second place after the first heat was Germany with 411.1 points and immediately behind third Austria at 409.2 points. Italy at the start with the youngest team, composed by Dejori, Sieff, Tomaselli, Malsiner, closes seventh after the first rotation. At the end of the jumps the ranking for the podium has not changed with the gold medal to Russia which totaled 912.2 points followed by Germany to 845.4 points (Nowak, Laue, Freitag, Reisch) third of Austria at 831.6 points (Kramer, Hirner, Purker, Eder). The blue confirmed the seventh position of the first heat stopping at 720.5 points. Complete results In the men's field to win the team test is Germany that the check point of 2.9 points on Norway. Even though the Lahti springboard was not overturned after the first run, Germany led by Roth, Maerkl, Raimund and Schmid with 501 points. Maerkl's subtlety compared to his team-mates allowed Norway to remain in the wake of the Teutonic team totaling 494.3 points.
