A real gem for Freeride enthusiasts, accessible only after the opening of the spectacular Stelvio Pass road, usually scheduled towards the end of May.

You can access the Valle dei Vitelli from Monte Cristallo, where in the 80's the nightlife imposed at least once a year to practice summer skiing on the glacier. From the glacier you descend westwards along the Vitelli lookout. If the Stelvio road is opened in a generous spring of snow, you can get to the Stelvio road with your skis on, except for some short stretches where you need to go further. At the end of spring or in case of scarcity of snow, it is possible that to return to the road of the Pass it is necessary to walk even more than an hour.
To access the off-piste, go down to the west starting from the departure of the Cristallo ski lift on the glacier (accessible with the lifts if open or with seal skins from the Stelvio Pass). Paying attention to the crevasses of the glacier in the initial stretch, you go through the valley to the Stelvio road.
