Giuseppe Cuc and Maurizio Bonelli: "Satisfaction with the result achieved which is rooted in that spirit of collaboration, work and projects that has characterized the action of the governing bodies of the two bodies"

The AMSI (Association of Italian Ski Instructors) and the National College of Italian Ski Instructors, on behalf of the over 15,000 Snow Professionals and over 400 Schools, express satisfaction in taking note of the conversion into law of Legislative Decree 41/21, the so-called Decree " Sostegni ”after the vote of confidence in the Chamber of Deputies which took place on the evening of 19 May 2021.
In art. 2, paragraph 2, ski instructors and schools have been granted a total funding of 40 million euros to be shared, through the regions and autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano, in proportion to the number of ski instructors enrolled in each Territorial college. This important recognition qualifies the category as a priority and substantial player in the mountain tourism economy and, in addition to restoring, albeit in part, the very serious losses suffered due to the closure of the lifts in the ski areas, it indelibly and representative highlights the weight and the role of ski instructors in Italy. Proof of this is also the fact that the Presidents of AMSI and Col. Nat. have recently been called to be part of the National Scientific Technical Table for the Mountains (TTS), set up to elaborate and subsequently implement a National Strategy of the Italian Mountains and promoted by the Ministry for Regional Affairs and Autonomies.
AMSI and Col. Nat. wish to express their thanks to all the institutions involved who made this very important result possible, starting with the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry for Regional Affairs and Autonomies, the Permanent Conference for relations between the State, the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces and then the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano.
Nonetheless, a special thanks to all the Deputies and Senators of all the camps who wanted to honor us with their support, who both in the commissions and subsequently in the classroom work, have continuously supported and reinforced a support scheme, inspired by the logic of doing , which saw the need to support the mountain and with it the Italian ski instructors and schools put first.
This important economic recognition for the sector of Ski Instructors and Ski Schools is now entering the "implementation" phase through the commitment of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, which, with the support of our local offices, we are sure they will know identify correct and progressive distribution criteria so that the commitment made can translate into concrete, valid and decisive aid to snow professionals.
AMSI and Col. Nat. they also sent the Government an operational prospectus with which to guide the Bodies in charge of the distribution so that the conditions are created to outline an equitable, progressive distribution based on unitary macro-criteria, to be applied in all Regions and Autonomous Provinces, on the basis of the specificity of each territory and local reality.
President Cuc and President Bonelli intend to express satisfaction with the result achieved which is rooted in that spirit of collaboration, work and projects that has characterized the action of the governing bodies of the two bodies. A special thanks to all those who have worked with incessant and constant commitment as well as to all the ski instructors and schools who, in these difficult months, have made us feel their support and support and in which AMSI and Col. Nat. they found an inexhaustible source of strength, responsibility and a sense of duty. Although on some occasions we had to softly take note of some positions taken at least outside the logo, if not inopportune, for the sole purpose of gaining consensus, we did not get involved, preferring the measure, pragmatism and moderation that we must in dealing with the Institutions, with which we will continue to operate in the sole interest of the Italian ski instructors and schools.
With the support game at the national level closed, AMSI and Col. Nat are already at work for the next season for which we ask for a global and wide-ranging strategy to be defined that will allow ski instructors and schools to finally be able to get back to work in safety and, with an authoritative and qualified plan to proactively deal with any contingency situations.
