The 3rd Skirental Summit will be staged at the 20th edition of Prowinter from 7 to 9 April 2020

A large round table to analyze and discuss issues related to the rental of winter sports equipment: this is the Ski Rental Summit. A project born in 2018 thanks to the research work conducted by Prowinter Lab which, in the third edition scheduled on Tuesday 7 April 2020, will bring to the attention of producers, renters and professionals two fundamental themes in the rental development process: quality and safety. The two macro-topics will be developed starting from the analysis of the data that the Prowinter Lab team has collected through surveys with the Chambers of Commerce of the municipalities that overlook the Alps and also through the Noleggi Informati campaign. A real maxi survey that is now available for all users at this link.

The birth of Prowinter Lab dates back to 2016, a study and research platform launched by Fiera Bolzano, which from the outset had as its primary objective the in-depth analysis of the rental sector of sports equipment, in particular those dedicated to the practice of skiing. In these years of work, the investigations of the team led by Alfredo Tradati, a journalist involved in mountain issues and project coordinator, have allowed Fiera Bolzano to organize, for the third consecutive year, a unique event in the panorama of snow sports : the Ski Rental Summit. A convention that has seen, in past editions, intense debates and engaging insights on issues related to the rental business: on these occasions Prowinter Lab also exposed the numbers of the sector to the public present, consisting of producers, renters, shopkeepers, installers and insiders. «The Ski Rental Summit is a project in which Prowinter has invested important energies - comments Geraldine Coccagna, Exhibition Manager of Prowinter - The charterer is a player with an increasingly important role compared to the success of a stay in the mountains and our goal is that of being able to provide guidelines for common development, in the interest of the whole market and in particular of tourist destinations ». In fact, the judgment that the consumer will have of his experience in a certain location will also be influenced by the quality of the tools hired locally. Ski Rental Summit 2020: act III The 2020 Ski Rental Summit, which will be held at FieraBolzano on Tuesday 7 April from 16 to 18, will be configured as a real round table that will come alive thanks to the comparison between those present. «The data disclosed in the previous editions of the Ski Rental Summit represent a starting point - comments Alfredo Tradati - However the work is not finished: the research continued by focusing our investigations on two focal aspects of the rental business: the quality of the products and the safety procedures that are implemented. ”Prowinter Lab's activity therefore developed through sample interviews with the rental centers registered in the project databases, from which a precise photograph emerged: the quality of the equipment in the rental is directly proportional to the shift frequency of the product range. "It is clear, in fact, how a new ski in season is more performing than an old tool, albeit prepared and worked at its best - continues Tradati - but this has served us to obtain important information". In fact, according to the Prowinter Lab estimates referring to the investigations of the winter 2018/19, the average frequency for the replacement of 100% of the ski park in Italy is equal to 4.76 years. The concept of safety is necessarily linked to product quality. New skis, boots, bindings, poles and helmets integrate all the latest certifications and represent the best solution for any enthusiast. "The helmet in particular is the element on which we have focused the most: from our research it has emerged that this specific product does not always represent a priority for the managers of the rental structures that make old and worn items available" concluded Tradati . Finally, analyzing how the Rent activity in other countries is regulated and interpreted can be a case study of certain interest to find themes for comparison: «Precisely for this reason - underlines Geraldine Coccagna - the Prowinter Lab team collected information and data directly from institutional bodies such as the chambers of commerce of neighboring states, especially those overlooking the Alps ». The “Rent informed” campaign To provide an even more detailed picture, the information collected from consultations with the Chambers of Commerce will be crossed with those coming from the Prowinter Lab activity, but not only. The Ski Rental Summit 2020, in fact, will also be an opportunity to analyze the data of the Nolggiare informati campaign launched today (March 2, 2020) by Prowinter Lab. An online survey whose aim is to detect the specific opinions of users regarding the their rental experience, providing the research team with valuable information to know in more detail the level of service quality that Italian ski rentals offer. The questionnaire of the Nolggiare informati campaign is available at this link: bit.ly/NoleggiaInformati and is sponsored by: Amsi, Assosport, Collegio Maestri Sci Alto Adige, Collegio Maestri Sci Lombardia, FEDAS, Federfuni, Fisi, Head sci, Pool sci italia, Ski Area Campiglio Dolomiti Brenta, Tecnosoft, Wintersteiger and the Italian Skiman Association. The appointment for suppliers, charterers, installers and professionals is set for Tuesday 7 April, when Prowinter 2020 will launch the third edition of the Ski Rental Summit.
