Prowinter
The twentieth edition of the trade event dedicated to rental in winter sports disciplines has been canceled. It is the painful decision taken by the Board of Directors of Fiera Bolzano SpA following the emergency caused by the expansion of the Coronavirus.

In compliance with government directives and in constant coordination with the main partners and exhibitors, the Board of Directors of Fiera Bolzano SpA has decided to cancel Prowinter 2020, previously postponed due to the emergency related to Coronavirus.
«In its 72 years of history, Fiera Bolzano has never experienced a similar situation. We are very sorry, but after evaluating all the options, this is the only responsible decision to take - explains Armin Hilpold, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fiera Bolzano SpA - and we want to thank all those who have worked hard to prepare the events and we look forward to continuing to collaborate with our partners on the market, to promote and strengthen the local and national economy ".
The trade fair sector is one of the sectors most affected by the current crisis: the UFI international trade fair association, which also includes Fiera Bolzano, speaks of 500 trade fairs that have not taken place so far due to the emergency linked to the spread of Covid-19, with an amount of losses equal to a total value of 23 billion Euros. The association of international fairs says that these figures underline the crucial importance of fairs for any economic recovery - markets and meeting points are the quickest way to promote it.
The organization for the twentieth edition of Prowinter was naturally in full swing. By understanding and taking on board the difficulties of companies that have invested energy and resources, Fiera Bolzano will undertake in the coming weeks to carefully evaluate the financial consequences of the situation. As of now, it is possible to reassure that the tickets sold will be fully refunded: the organizers will inform interested parties about the procedure to be followed through the Fiera Bolzano website.
Furthermore, work is currently underway to make the contents and research of Prowinter Lab, the only permanent observatory in Italy on the mountain rental market, available in digital form. All the energies are also concentrated and projected on the goal of creating a Prowinter 2021 edition that is ever stronger and full of ideas.
