Part in October, the fifth edition of the International Mountain Summit

From October 17 to 22 will take place in Eisacktal, precisely in Bressanone, the fifth edition of the International Mountain Summit, the festival that each year sees meet climbers in the heart of the Dolomites to share experiences and share techniques and trends not only among their , but also with the great people of the fans.

This year there will be among the guests IMS Austrian Hansjörg Auer, the French actress Catherine Destivelle, the blind mountaineer Andy Holzer, the German Stefan Glowacz, and among Italians Reinhold Messner and mountain guide Hanspeter Eisendle. And yet Silvia Vidal from Spain and Poland the paraglider Ewa Wisnierska. The program provides unprecedented opportunities for hikers and climbers to confront an adventure along with the big names, taking a hike in the mountains or competing with them on the rock wall. At the Forum will also be held three meetings Bressanone - "Mountain Stories", "Xtreme Mountain" and "Come on, you risk" - in which the main protagonists of the mountain will tell their experiences to participants leaving the right to express their ideas.

A fronte di un incremento delle presenze, il numero di strutture turistiche non è cresciuto e quello di posti letto si è ridotto. Ai maggiori flussi turistici non si è associato né un aumento del consumo di suolo né una maggiore produzione di rifiuti, dimostrando il potenziale del riconoscimento UNESCO nel generare benefici economici locali senza compromettere la qualità ambientale, a condizione che siano in atto un efficace coordinamento istituzionale e solide garanzie normative.
