The 2011 edition of Prowinter in Bolzano Exhibition April 13 to 15, debuts with a toast of the cocktail devised by Erwin Stricker. In the same week, 14 to 17 April in the Val Senales APT organizes the Ski Test in honor of Avalanche Riviera skier who died last September.

Stricker was one of the Avalanche Riviera, the legendary team of Italy in the 70's. He had no class or quality of Gustavo Thoeni Pierino Gros, but he had an unforgettable style: attacking the stakes and risked everything to win each race, a real Crazy Horse.
Born January 15, 1950 in Mattighofen, in 1967 he participated in his first race in Junior Colle Isarco, where he earned a second place; The following year he won the "Stadtlerrennen", a popular ski race held on the town Plose , obtaining the best time of all categories.
He entered the Italian national team in 1969 and went for the first time on the podium at the World Cup in 1973, thanks to second place in giant Heavenly Valley.
On January 7, 1974 entered into history of Italian skiing with third place in the giant Berchtesgaden, just when he was born the myth of the Avalanche Riviera. Stricker he finished third behind Piero Gros and Thöni Gustav and ahead of Helmuth Schmalzl and Tino Pietrogiovanna.
