A charming village of small wooden chalets, located at an altitude of 1600 metres, in the beautiful Vialattea area, the largest in Italy and the second in Europe with 400 km of ski slopes. You will spend your ski week without having to think about anything thanks to the Premium All Inclusive package which includes ski and snowboard lessons for all levels up to 25 hours a week, ski pass for the entire duration of your stay and pick-up at the Resort without having to no line, Mini club from 4 to 17 years with activities, entertainment and shows. In the snow garden surrounded by G.O. and by the ski school instructors, the little ones will be able to discover the pleasures of skiing thanks to facilities adapted to their age. Fun experiences can also be had with the Amazing-Family program which offers children-parents activities: group games, dances, treasure hunts, tournaments, nature discovery activities with other children and in the family, painting, photography, creative workshops , snacks together with snacks and crêpes, pastry workshops or picnics as well as shows, entertainment and moments of relaxation by the pool.
The Vialattea is famous for having hosted the 2006 Winter Olympic Games which saw the greatest ski champions ever compete. The district offers 249 ski slopes (7 green, 80 blue, 120 red and 42 black) and it is possible to ski in eight different winter resorts served by modern ski lifts: Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx, Oulx, Cesana, Sansicario, Claviere , Pragelato and the French station of Montgenèvre. From Club Med Pragelato Sestriere you have direct access to the slopes with the cable car which leaves from the central square of the Resort and which takes you to Sestriere in just 4 minutes where you can ski on easy, intermediate level slopes and on the Olympic slopes with a stop at the Chaler Molino, a hut at an altitude of 2300 meters reserved exclusively for Club Med guests.
In addition to ski and snowboard lessons, the activities included in the All Inclusive package also include snowshoeing and Nordic walking. For thrill-seekers, on the other hand, you can choose between snowmobile excursions for a dinner in a refuge, fat-bikes, taking to the slopes after a helicopter trip, go-karting on ice or night excursions on snowshoes.
One of the Must Try Experiences not to be missed is certainly the toboggan ride led by the Siberian Huskies with a splendid view of the Clavière, Montgenèvre and the Piedmontese peaks: children get on board, while adults take the lead after receiving instructions. If, on the other hand, you want to try some typical local dishes, you can stop on the terrace of the Trattoria which offers dishes of local meat and cheese, pizza and hot focaccia. For an après-ski you can relax walking through the snow-covered alleys of the Resort and stop for a snack or an aperitif in the main square or you can dedicate yourself to your well-being in the pool or spa.
The Pragelato Sestriere Resort is a real village with a pedestrian square (departure point of the cable car connecting with Sestriere), restaurants and boutiques. The rooms, located in welcoming two-story chalets, are spacious, elegant, bright, equipped with all comforts, and all with a balcony and terrace. It is the only Resort where it is possible to have breakfast in the room regardless of the type of room. The wellness center is also located in a large traditional chalet and has a heated indoor pool with free access with water jets, a space dedicated to sports with a cardio-training room and a fitness room. A la carte is also available a spa, signed Payot, with treatment rooms, hammam and sauna.

The Vialattea district is an easily accessible destination: it is 3 hours by car from Milan and 1 hour and 40 minutes by car from Turin.

Il paper di Banca d'Italia analizza gli effetti sui flussi turistici e sull'ambiente nei 4 anni successivi all'iscrizione delle Dolomiti nella lista dei Patrimoni Mondiali dell'Umanità, avvenuta nel 2009. A fronte di un incremento delle presenze, il numero di strutture turistiche non è cresciuto e quello di posti letto si è ridotto. Ai maggiori flussi turistici non si è associato né un aumento del consumo di suolo né una maggiore produzione di rifiuti, dimostrando il potenziale del riconoscimento UNESCO nel generare benefici economici locali senza compromettere la qualità ambientale, a condizione che siano in atto un efficace coordinamento istituzionale e solide garanzie normative.
