3 stage of the Freeride World Tour from Andorra: the live freeride show

The snow is abundant and the sky has opened in the Pyrenees at Vallnord-Arcalís, and everything is ready to kick off the third stage of the 2018 Freeride World Tour in Andorra.

Italy is finally again a protagonist in the world of Freeride, in fact two of our countrymen with excellent placements in the standings. Arianna Tricomi dominates the overall ranking in women's skiing with a well deserved 1st place, while Markus Eder is third in men's skiing. The race in Andorra is a golden opportunity for our athletes to accumulate points and build a gap from the pursuers. A third positive performance in a row would really make a difference now that April is close and with it at the Verbier final. In addition to the competing athletes, a "wild-card" was awarded - a special invitation - to the "local" freerider Dani Fornell-Prat. Unfortunately, the event was a tragedy when last Friday a local mountain guide who was working on securing the competition area was involved in an avalanche that turned out to be deadly. He promptly followed a large declaration of solidarity from the Tour organization, all its supporters and the world of Freeride in general. The next stage will be held next week in Austria, in Fieberbrunn, and after this only the best will continue and thus access the final in Verbier. Respectively only the first 13 skiers men and 6 women skiers in the standings and the first 6 snowboarders men and the first 4 women will be able to enter the last stage and try to fight for the title of world champion freeride.
