Freeride World Tour: here are the results of today's race in Austria

With only two days of rest behind today the best freeride athletes in the world have returned to compete on the northern facade of the Wildseeloder in the Austrian tyrol, giving great performance in all categories. With today it has already been decided to take part in the world of freeride skiing, which athletes will be able to go to the Xtreme Verbier in Switzerland and who will win the next year edition of the Tour.

With the second place conquered today Kristofer Turdell (SWE) puts in fact today in the safe the world title of male skis for points difference on the pursuers, first of all our Markus Eder - second in the detached classification of 330 points - that with the 10th today's place loses any chance of ending the first season. The first place goes today instead to the "rookie" (at the first participation in the Tour) Mickael Bimboes (FRA), with his descent proved to be in the right place to the side of great established champions: a strong line dropped with great confidence and skill in closing the chosen jumps. Third George Rodney (USA), which closes the decidedly more impressive jump of the day. In women's skiing, the landlords demonstrate what they are made of: Lorraine Huber (AUT) wins the first place followed by Eva Walkner (AUT). Third instead - and on the podium for the first time in his career - Rachel Croft (USA). For our Arianna Tricomi today did not arrive the performance we hoped for: it closes the fourth race but remains well anchored at the top of the general classification thanks to the victories of the last races, ready to fight for the world title in Verbier. In the men's snowboard the local rider Gigi Rüf (AUT) takes home his first victory in the Tour with a manual descent. On his side on the podium the wildcard Elias Elhardt (GER) and third Thomas Feurstein (AUT). A very different development from the usual American or almost all-American podium. For women snowboarding the champion in charge Marion Haerty (FRA) is not wrong and wins the first place with a technical line skied with elegance. Second Manuela Mandl (AUT) brings a new podium home this season of successes and third Anna Orlova (RUS). And now the eyes are on the grand finale at Verbier, in the Swiss freeride ski temple, where the athletes still competing will have to do their best to prove they are the world champions of freeride.
