All the dates you can find on the dedicated site of the Freeride World Tour. these years we have become more and more accustomed to following the Freeride World Tour the first and only circuit at a global level as far as Freeride is concerned, understood as Ski and Snowboard both male and female; which in recent years has given us many satisfactions thanks to the Italian athletes involved in this exciting Tour, not least the Italian domination by Markus Eder and Arianna Tricomi in the last season 2018 / 2019.The Freeride Junior Tour (FJT) is born from the increasingly growing demand for young Free-skiers who are approaching the world of off-piste skiing, many of whom are former athletes in the Freestyle ski Park & Pipe field and who are not limited to the descents in fabulous conditions outside the beaten tracks, accompanied by instructors, trainers or mountain guides, but who in turn want to try their hand at competitions in Freeride by emulating the athletic deeds of their older colleagues on the Freeride World Tour or Freeride World Qualifier. Also for the "organizational machine" which is the Freeride World Tour is essential this age group that goes from 14 years to 18 years, so as to always have a nursery of new talented athletes who turned 18 years of age à will be part of the Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) is nothing more than the "minor league" of the Freeride World Tour (FWT), where all future FWT champions are formed and pass. Moreover, the Freeride Junior Tour is nothing but a real gym, where the young freeriders will be able to "cut their teeth" on the big commercials, those same spots that they will go to when they pass by category, obviously with differences in height and greater difficulty. In addition to competing and interacting with young skiers from all over the world, they will also have the obligation to undergo tests / laboratories focused on mountain safety and avalanche self-rescue techniques. So the FJT is not only focused on growing athletes with an increasingly high technical level, but also on having skiers increasingly prepared in terms of safety in the mountains. The Freeride Junior Tour is divided into three categories: U14 (under fourteen), U16 (under sixteen) and U18 (under eighteen), three categories that compete on the same day, on the same competition ground but the classification and the score obtained will be drawn up in three different categories, this for males. The female categories are two: U14 and U18. Regarding the evolutions (Trick) that athletes can do in the race in the Junior Tour circuit are allowed all rotations and grabs where the feet do not pass over the head, for example FlatSpin and rotations 360 ° and 720 °, all Flips where the feet pass over the head are forbidden, eg Backflip, FrontFlip and Rodeo, this choice dictated by security reasons for the protection of young riders, a rule obviously not valid for FWT and FWQ. Also for the FJT as for the FWT and FWQ the events are characterized by stars that can vary from one, two, three and four stars based on the difficulty of the event. Athletes who achieve the best scores will be invited to participate in the Freeride Junior World Championship to be held in Kappl in Austria from 28 to 31 January 2020. The most important and prestigious events (*** three stars) in Europe for this 2019 season -2020 which will be the setting for Kappl's only four-star event will be: Arc, La Clusaz, Chatel as regards competitions in French territory, Verbier and Nendaz competitions in Swiss territory, Fieberbrunn in Austria and Ordino-ArcalÃs in Andorra . During the last season of competitions our young athletes have relied on the snows of half of Europe representing at best the Italian colors in more than one race and obtaining excellent results in the standings, above all they made themselves known in the female field the three girls doing part of the Under 18 category Clementina Massocco who with her score obtained in the previous races was able to get the invitation for the Freeride Junior World Championship 2019, Gea Scardini got his 11th place in the Junior Tour with two 11th places in La Clusaz and Verbier and Asia Buccella with an 8th place in Chamonix and an 11th in Arc. While in the Under 18 men we have a Santiago Calosi who has got two 9th places in Verbier and Jacopo Neppi Modona with a 10th place in Verbier. What to say, a youth movement that is in clear expansion, and in this winter season 2019-2020 can give great satisfaction and bring Italy to the top of the world rankings as already happens for the FWT, for the second consecutive year I will be involved in the circuit as a technician of some athletes, so I will keep you updated on everything that will be the Junior Tour 2020.
