Everything is ready for the sixth edition of the "Verona Mountain Film Festival", the Veneto Festival entirely dedicated to mountaineering, climbing and exploration, which will take place in the Auditorium of the seventeenth-century Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Piazza Bra from 22 to 26 February 2022.

The Festival, with the patronage of RAI, is promoted by the CAI sections of Verona, Verona Cesare Battisti, San Bonifacio, Legnago, Caprino Veronese, by the Zevio mountaineering excursion group and by the Scaligero Verona Alpine Group, with the artistic direction of Associazione Montagna Italia .
The event, in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona, is supported by the Giorgio Zanotto Foundation, Banco BPM, Sportler, Verona Transport Company.
The Festival, which is part of the “Spirit of the mountain” circuit, is divided into five evenings that will be presented by the President Roberto Gualdi. In addition to the film competition, the Festival also promotes the mountains through photography, music, presentations and guests.
Many films entered this edition and arrived from 13 countries around the world. There are eight films selected by the Commission and which will be screened during the event. The Jury is made up of: Piero Carlesi-President, Nicola Bionda and Giuseppe Spagnulo.
Twenty-one shots of the Photographic Competition promoted by the Giorgio Zanotto Foundation, projected every evening on the big screen.

Two musical moments will animate the Festival. On the opening evening the Scaligero Choir of the Alpe del Cai of Verona will perform and, in the final evening, the Soprano Silvia Lorenzi with Stefano Gatti on piano and Stefano Bertoli on percussion will perform the concert "Jet d’eau".
On the afternoon of Friday 25 February, at 4.00 pm, at the Polo Zanotto of the University, there will be the screening of out-of-competition films dedicated to the world's forests, in collaboration with the Bergamo Forest Festival; a round table will follow.
Saturday 26, final evening, the winning photograph will be awarded at the Gran Guardia, and the exhibition “Anthropocene. Legacy and memory of an eternal present. " organized by the RUS Sustainable University Network Commission, in collaboration with Contemporanea and under the scientific supervision of prof. Fabio Saggioro.
Also in the final evening, the Award Ceremony of the Film and Photographic Competitions of the Festival will be held, in the presence of the Partners of the event.
Admission is free.
