Have you ever thought about sleeping in a cable car? On the Selvino - Aviatico plateau, in Lombardy, you can! Here is the Cablewayroom, a bed and breakfast with a panoramic view of the Orobie Alps. An original idea by Ivan Tiraboschi, a Bergamo electrician who in 2017 transformed an abandoned cabin of the old Albino-Selvino cable car into a bedroom.

The structure consists of the cabin topped by a bedroom with a double waterbed, glass walls, minibar and TV. The cableway arch, which is the block that connected the cabin to the cables, is the headboard of the bed. Outside, a heated private swimming pool, with temperatures up to 33 ° in winter and up to 30 ° in summer, and a garden. The control panel of the old cable car is still present in the cabin. Breakfast can be eaten sitting on the wooden swings inserted as chairs inside the cabin where there is also a wooden ladder to access the bedroom. Both floors have underfloor heating.
And for the more romantic, you can even admire the stars at night thanks to the magical skylight.
