LEKI mourns the passing of owner Waltraud Lenhart

Waltraud Lenhart, owner of LEKI, died unexpectedly after a short and serious illness. After a tragic plane crash took her husband Klaus Lenhart away in 2012, she assumed responsibility for her husband's lifelong work. Since then he has led the company with foresight and successfully developed it internationally. Together with his team of 350 employees around the world, he has built future-oriented corporate structures.

The interests of customers, partners and employees have always been at the center of its value-oriented thinking and commitment. He placed particular value on sustainable business management and social employment. The promotion of young athletes in sports and the support of disadvantaged or disabled social groups were particularly important to her. Waltraud Lenhart leaves a successful company with a tried and tested team well prepared for the future. With Friederike and Markus Lenhart, the company is now in the third generation of the owner family. Two CEOs Martin Rominger and Matthias Hatt will lead the company in the future. "With Waltraud Lenhart we lose a person who has shaped LEKI and the industry of the Outdoor world with his social and empathic nature. We will do everything possible to continue life's masterpiece in his interest ”, says Matthias Hatt, CEO of LEKI. LEKI will continue to build on the company's fundamental work: innovation, quality and partnership.
