The IOC verdict is approaching and, at 18.00 on Monday 24 June, finally the Italian candidacy of Milan-Cortina will know if the Winter Olympic Games of 2026 will return to Italy, twenty years after Turin 2006.
The news of the last hours concerns not only the institutional support of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, who will be in Lausanne with the leaders of Italian sport. In the challenge with Stockholm, the strong support of the Government could have an important value, so much so that the same Undersecretary for Sport, Giancarlo Giorgetti, said he was very confident about the chances of success.
The delegation will obviously include representatives of the two candidate cities and host regions, but the FISI will also be present with President Flavio Roda and a group of athletes who, in addition to Alberto Tomba and another winter sports legend like Armin Zoeggeler , includes the Olympics of PyeongChang, Sofia Goggia and Michela Moioli, Arianna Fontana and Federico Pellegrino.

A Dobbiaco, invece, le 10 km in alternato hanno regalato il successo a Davide Graz e Maria Gismondi, all'interno della cornice della Nordic Arena per quella che è stata la prima tappa della Coppa Italia invernale.
