Nobody like Friedrich: double like in PyeongChang, German 4-man bob in the legend

The champion of the bobsleigh closes for his part, with the fourth Olympic title in a row by beating Lochner again, while Kripps prevents another hat-trick from Germany. Italy 15th with Patrick Baumgartner: how much work to do in the direction of Milan-Cortina 2026 ...

Nobody like him. Francesco Friedrich is increasingly a candidate for the role of the strongest hobbyist in history, signing another Olympic double as at PyeongChang 2018. After the title in the two-man bobsleigh, the German ace also triumphs in the four-man bob, making the void in the second part of the race, or the third and fourth run, staged today on the gut of Yanqing (where Germany won 9 of the 10 titles available between bobsleigh, skeleton and luge). Johannes Lochner is again in silver, 37 cents away from his compatriot after having paid just 3 after the second run and 20 at the end of the third. Another hat-trick from Germany does not arrive as in the two-man bob, since Christoph Hafer is fourth this time, just 6 cents from the Canadian Justin Kripps who gives bronze to his Canada, with Oskars Kibermanis fifth. The first blue crew is that of Patrick Baumgartner (Mattia Variola had already finished well out of the winds after the first two runs), at the end a decent 15th, but the work to be done in a Milan-Cortina key is simply enormous. The good news, at least, is the start of work on the track which must represent the future of the discipline in Italy.
