The beauty of 33 Olympic gold medals, 86 world titles and 29 absolute World Cups. From skiing to biathlon, going through the bottom.

In the last 17 months, winter sports have lost nine champions of their respective disciplines, due to a series of retreats from the competitive spirit that we can rarely remember in history for the level of the protagonists.
The post olympic season had already been devastating in this sense, with the first of the list of farewells that responds to the name of a certain Ole Einar Bjoerndalen: the most successful champion in the history of biathlon has left with 8 Olympic gold necks, 20 world titles and 6 World Cups, announcing the withdrawal on 3 April 2018.
Three days later, Norway also lost the queen of the fund, with the greeting of Marit Bjoergen after having won 8 Olympic titles, 18 world titles and 4 absolute crystal balls; in that incredible week for winter sports, April 9th 2018 also announces another formidable biathlete like Emil Hegle Svendsen, with 4 Olympic golds in his pocket, 12 world titles and 1 World Cup.
In midsummer (it was June 25th), Darya Domracheva retired, winner of 4 Olympic titles, 2 world titles and 1 World Cup, while she waited until December 12th 2018 to finally greet the company a big of the fund as Petter Northug ; on the Norwegian bulletin board, 2 Olympic gold medals, 13 world titles and 2 World Cups.
Then we arrive at the 2018/19 season, with two absolute stars of alpine skiing who leave in the best way, that is, after having finished on the podium their respective free descents at the world championships of Are: on 9 February 2019 is Aksel Lund Svindal to hang skis on a nail, skimming in the last race of his career, for 2 cents, what would have been his sixth world title, having already won 2 Olympic titles and 2 World Cups. Twenty-four hours later, with the bronze in the neck, the career of Lindsey Vonn, 1 Olympic gold, 2 world and 4 World Cups ends (and let's add the 82 victories in single circuit races).
On May 19th, Laura Dahlmeier says that in just a few years she has won everything in the world of biathlon, with 2 Olympic golds, 7 world and 1 World Cup. Finally, on September 4th the expected announcement by Marcel Hirscher, who greets the white circus with the 2 Olympic gold medals of PyeongChang, the 7 world titles and 8 World Cups, won one behind the other from 2012 to 2019.
