A historic day for blue ski mountaineering, in the "first" of this discipline at the Youth Winter Olympic Games.
In Lausanne, the national team offers three medals in one fell swoop, the first ever for the movement thanks to the gold won by Rocco Baldini and the silver medals by Luca Tomasoni and Silvia Berra. The 2002 class, already able to touch the bronze in the individual, triumphed in today's sprint by beating Tomasoni in the final by 7 "87, for an unforgettable double in front of the Spaniard of Ot Martinez Ferrer (in the photo, the race podium ).
Silvia Berra, on the other hand, was able to finish the women's sprint in second place: for the ski mountaineer of the Polisportiva Albosaggia (already fifth in the individual) an amazing result, behind only the Spanish Maria Diez Costa, faster than 2 "53 . On the third step of the podium there is the French Margot Ravinel, with the other blue Erika Sanelli excellent fifth.
And on Tuesday there will be a great medal occasion with the mixed relay.
