Federico Nicolini won the second place for Italy in the Vertical seniores which marked the second day of competitions of the ski mountaineering World Cup finals, in the French town of Flaine. The men's race was won again by the Swiss Rémi Bonnet, with a time of 18''11 "8, who preceded the blue on the finish line for 27", in turn ahead of the host Thibault Anselmet (+ 42 "); the transalpine is the biggest pitfall for Michele Boscacci, who lost a few points, finishing in sixth place, compared to his rival in the fight for the general classification, which will be decided (with the Valtellina in command) in the Sprint on Saturday. Among the other Azzurri, Alex Oberbacher finished eighth, followed by Davide Magnini tenth and Nicolò Canclini 12th. In the women's field, the transalpine Axelle Gachet-Mollaret confirmed her dominance of the season, finishing in 21''28 ”3 in front of the Czech Marcella Vasinova, second in more than a minute, with the third place for the other French Emily Harrop. Alba De Silvestro, yesterday on the podium in the Individual, finished fourth, while Giulia Murada finished sixth, Ilaria Veronese eighth, Mara Martini 15th, Lisa Moreschini 17th and Samantha Bertolina 20th. In the under 20 category, the Swiss Thomas Bussard ruled the competition in 19''30 "9, ahead of the Frenchman Anselme Damevin and the other Swiss Robin Bussard, fourth the Austrian Nils Oberauer, Rocco remained excluded from the podium Baldini in sixth position and Marco Salvadori 14th.
