It 's all ready for the 21th edition of the Trofeo Mezzalama, the spectacular White Marathon through the massif of Monte Rosa that will be on stage Saturday, April 22, and is held every two years.

The route is the classic one, with departure from Breuil-Cervinia and arrival in Gressoney-la-Trinite and in the video at the bottom of this article you can admire with satellite view. 300 teams at the start, each composed of 3 athletes. The race will be preceded on Friday at 9 in the second edition of the Mezzalama Jeunes, reserved for Cadets and Juniors, with start and finish in Cime Bianche.
The departure of the 900 athletes from Cervinia is scheduled for 5.30 am on Saturday, preceded by the fanfare of Sharpshooters, in commemoration of the 100 years since the end of World War I, an event which will fall next year when the race course does not disputed. At 8.30 it will start the live streaming that has been so successful in the last edition two years ago, when the event was disputed with path opposite which is not usual in tribute to the 150th anniversary of the conquest of the Matterhorn.
The first arrivals in Gressoney are scheduled for 10.30. At 12 there will be the Flower Ceremony 16 and the real prize itself. The Trofeo Mezzalama is also the last stage of the Circuit season La Grande Course.
