The news for the season 2017/2018 in Val di Fassa

The Val di Fassa is preparing for the winter season 2017/2018 with several new developments on ski lifts, slopes and snowmobiling systems.

In the Catinaccio ski area, two-seater chairlifts "Vajolet 1" and "Vajolet 2" in 1986 will be replaced by two four-seater chairlifts with automatic coupling. The new plants will follow the same lines as the existing chairlifts. Replacement is through the repositioning of two chairlifts which are dismantled in other areas of the DolomitiSuperski. The "Vajolet 1" will have a capacity of 1500 people per hour, while "Vajolet 2" is 1800. For this reason, the final part of the "Vajolet 2" track will undergo a change to allow for the correct positioning of the arrival station of the "Vajolet 1" chair lift and the correct flow of skiers. With these two new plants, it is also possible to climb the ski-lift from Pera di Fassa in winter, where winter can only climb with skis at the foot. There is also an upgrade of the snowmaking system in general and in particular on the "Vajolet 2" track. At Alba di Canazei, the "Alba - Ciampac" cable car in 1975 will be replaced by a new 10-seat cable car with a capacity of 2000 people. The facility will reach Ciampac in just 5 minutes. The Roseal chairlift will also be replaced by a new four-seater chair lift, while the "Ciampac-Sella Brunech" plant will be shortened with arrival station at the current intermediate station, dividing the ski area into a beginner zone and in one for experts. Finally, the "Panorama" return track will be enlarged and the "Valvacin" track will be improved. The opening date of the ski lifts is scheduled for 25 November.
