For the 2018/2019 winter season, Pinzolo will present the new "Fossadei - Malga Cioca" automatic hook-up chairlift which will replace the homonymous system with two-seater fixed-connection vehicles built in 1972 by the company Graffer di Trento.

The chairlift connects the area of ​​Prà Rodont with the area of ​​Malga Cioca and is at the service of the blue slopes, the link between the two school camps and the most demanding red runs.
The new chairlift will be built by the company Leitner Spa in Vipiteno and will have a length of 913.29 meters against the 1,025 meters of the disused facility. The hourly flow will increase from 694 p / h to 1,800 p / h with a total travel time of around 3 minutes.
The new mountain station, which will be located at 1761 meters above sea level, will in effect replace the old station. The valley station, on the other hand, will be positioned at an altitude of 1,484 meters, near the "Campo scuola" area, thus removing the stretch that presented an insidious slope for the neophytes and that led to the old station.
The structure will be very compact because of the short type.
