Prato Nevoso

The skiable area of Prato Nevoso alone, generally estimated at around 50 km of pistes, extends approximately from the 1,500-metre-high Conca to the approximately 2,000 metres reached by the La Rossa gondola. Blue and red runs predominate: they are wide, sunny and well groomed, making them particularly suitable for families, beginners and intermediate skiers. There are also some more technical descents, especially in the upper sectors, but those looking for a large number of black runs will find greater opportunities by continuing towards Artesina.

One of the resort’s strengths is its modern lift system and extensive snowmaking coverage. The automatic La Rossa gondola, with ten-seater cabins, links the Conca with the Chalet Il Rosso area at an altitude of 2,000 metres and can also be used by pedestrians. The new eight-seater automatic Blu chairlift is also scheduled to enter service for the 2026/2027 season, the first of its kind in Piedmont and north-western Italy. The new lift will replace the previous four-seater chairlift, increasing comfort and carrying capacity in the heart of the Conca.

Prato Nevoso is part of Mondolè Ski together with Artesina and Frabosa Soprana. The ski-in/ski-out connection with Artesina makes it possible to significantly extend the day on the slopes, moving from Prato Nevoso’s gentler, sunnier slopes to the more varied and demanding pistes descending from Pian della Turra and the slopes of Mondolè. Through the area’s network of connections, it is also possible to reach the Frabosa Soprana sector when all lifts and links are open.

As a whole, Mondolè Ski officially boasts 130 km of downhill pistes. The connection therefore turns Prato Nevoso from a medium-sized resort, particularly geared towards families and intermediate skiers, into one of the main gateways to the largest ski area in the province of Cuneo. Before attempting the full circuit, however, it is advisable to check that the connections are open and the closing times of the last lifts for the return journey.

Among Prato Nevoso’s distinctive features are night skiing, available on the illuminated slopes of the Conca, and the Snowpark, one of the best-known in the western Alps, with lines of increasing difficulty for beginners and experts. The beginner area with magic carpets, the numerous ski schools, the playground and snow tubing confirm the resort’s strong family focus, while mountain huts, après-ski venues and music events also attract a younger crowd.

Prato Nevoso is also an active summer destination. The La Rossa gondola allows pedestrians to reach higher elevations, while the Bike Park offers mountain biking and downhill trails. Hiking, e-bike routes, walks towards Monte Mondolè and activities organised in the Conca complete a tourist offering that extends beyond the ski season.
