On the Alpe Tognola of San Martino di Castrozza, work began on augmenting the planned snowmaking system and expanding the slopes in the Cima Tognola / Cigolera area during this month of August.

For the occasion, a new link will be built that will connect the "Cima Tognola" slope to the "Cigolera" and will be served by a new ski lift. The upgrading of the artificial snow-making system, on the other hand, involves setting up, as tognola.it says, "new lines of power, communication, water and air and the replacement of about twenty wells necessary for the operation of fixed snow guns. and along the entire stretch of runway will be added snow generators of new conception that will facilitate the production of snow with a consequent reduction of the timing in the preparation of the slopes and opening times, carrying forward what has already been achieved in the past years on Rhododendron and Tognola Uno ".
"The modernization - continues tognola.it - ​​will be completed with the construction of a new medium voltage electric substation that will supply electricity to the snowmaking system - and tomorrow also to the new plant - and the addition of a sixth pump to high pressure in the Rododendro pump room ".
