With the start of phase 3 of the fight against coronavirus, Switzerland will be able to open the lifts.

The summer skiing season in Zermatt will start on 6 June. At the moment, however, the Italians will not be able to climb the side of Cervinia on the glacier of Plateau Rosà which can be reached by three cable cars.
The Aosta Valley resort will still have to wait for the possible opening of the ski lifts scheduled for June 27. But this will only happen if Switzerland opens the borders to Italy. For now, in fact, the Federal Council of Switzerland has decided to open the borders, starting from June 15, with Germany, France and Austria.
