First stage of the World Cup on the Austrian snow: the Bergamo race bends only to Samkova after a masterpiece in the semifinals.

It is a double podium in the first stage of the snowboard cross World Cup, with Michela Moioli splendid second and Omar Visintin third on the Austrian snows of Montafon.
The Bergamo, at the 25th podium in the Cup, was preceded only by the favorite of the eve, the Czech Eva Samkova, with the Australian Belle Brockhoff in third place; the Olympic champion has signed the true masterpiece in the semifinals, since after a disastrous start it seemed already out of the game, considering that the Montafon track was shortened due to lack of snow and recovery was really complicated.
For Visintin, it was a tough final since the start, in the last place and then reassembled and played with the Australian Bolton, at the end of the second, behind the unattainable Haemmerle, in triumph over the home snows.
As many as nine Italians were involved in the final stages: among the girls, Raffaella Brutto came out in the first semifinal, falling into the run where she could have played for second place behind Samkova, and then placed in eighth place, while Sofia Belingheri was eliminated in its quarter-final.
Among the men, Lorenzo Sommariva came up to the semifinals, finished in third place just behind Visintin (he will be 6th with the second place in the small final), while Michele Godino stopped at the quarters, while Leoni, Perathoner and Menconi did not they had passed the eighth finals.
