The 2030 Agenda was created to share the commitment to ensure a better present and future for our planet and the people who inhabit it.

On 25 September 2015, the UN, which has 193 member countries, including Italy, signed the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a global action plan for people, the planet and prosperity. The Agenda is made up of 17 Goals, also called Goals, divided into 169 'Targets' (sub-goals) to be achieved by 2030.
The challenges contained in the 2030 Agenda touch on issues relating to the environmental, economic and social spheres. The Sustainable Development Goals range from fighting poverty to climate change, from gender equality to safeguarding biodiversity, from fighting inequalities to renewable energy to name just a few. All Goals are linked together, so each Goal cannot be considered independently. Only the integrated growth of all three components (economic, social and environmental) will allow the achievement of sustainable development.
Let's find out together what are the 17 objectives of the 2030 Agenda:
Defeating poverty: putting an end to all forms of poverty in the world.
End Hunger: End hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
Health and well-being: ensuring health and well-being for all and for all ages.
Quality education: ensuring quality, equitable and inclusive education, and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Gender Equality: Achieve gender equality and empowerment (greater strength, self-esteem and awareness) of all women and girls.
Clean water and sanitation: ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation facilities for all.
Clean and accessible energy: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy systems for all.
Decent work and economic growth: encouraging lasting, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
Businesses, innovation and infrastructures: building a resilient infrastructure and promoting innovation and fair, responsible and sustainable industrialization.
Reduce inequalities: Reduce inequality within and between nations
Sustainable Cities and Communities: Making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, long-lasting and sustainable.
Responsible consumption and production: guaranteeing sustainable production and consumption models
Fight against climate change: take urgent measures to combat climate change and its consequences.
Life under water: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
Life on earth: protect, restore and promote sustainable use of the earth's ecosystem, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, and stop the loss of biological diversity.
Peace, justice and strong institutions: promoting peaceful and more inclusive societies for sustainable development; offer access to justice for all and create efficient, accountable and inclusive bodies at all levels.
Partnership for the Goals: Strengthen the means of implementation and renew the global partnership for sustainable development.
