The first mixed relay of the season, the only one to precede the Olympic event which will be played in reversed stages, is the prerogative of Norway which precedes a good Belarus and France.

In the launch phase Tarje Boe (0 + 2) and the Russian Tsvetkov (0 + 2) take command of the operations gaining a conspicuous advantage of more than 15 seconds over Labastau (0 + 1) and the German Roman Rees (0 + 1 ). Around half a minute, Seppala (0 + 1), Guigonnat (0 + 1), Bormolini (0 + 4) arrive at the first change. Sweden jumped with a disastrous Samuelsson (2 + 4) in the standing session after only reloading the first polygon.
It is Johannes Boe (0 + 2) who splits the race as usual by building an important advantage which at mid-race is 36 seconds over the Belarusian Smolski (0 + 0) and 49 seconds over Doll (0 + 3) Fourth at the exchange rate is Povarnitsyn (0 + 2) at 1.05.3, along with Windisch (0 + 2) and Hiidensalo (0 + 0). Almost a minute and a half away Desthieux (0 + 2) while Ponsiluoma ((0 + 1) brings Sweden back to two minutes behind the leaders.
In the third fraction Tandrevold (0 + 1) keeps the advantage over Alimbekava (0 + 1) who is 25 seconds away; a good Dorothea Wierer (0 + 3) brings Italy in third position at 1.29.2 to fight for the podium with Hinz (0 + 1), Kazakevich (0 + 2), the Czech Republic (0 + 7) and Anais Bescond (0 + 3), all within six seconds.
In the last fraction Hanna Sola is forcing, putting pressure on Roeiseland but with the 5/5 on the ground the Norwegian settles things in the face of a refill of the Belarusian. Behind a recharge for all, two for Simon with five teams that continue to compete for the podium.
Roeiseland (0 + 1) closes it, leading Norway (0 + 6) to victory over Belarus (0 + 5 after the three recharges of Sola) with 23.1 seconds of advantage; for the third place Julia Simon (0 + 5) France (0 + 11) at 2.01.3 who resist the imperious return of Elvira Oeberg who manages to bring Sweden (3 + 10) in fourth position. Fifth Russia (0 + 9), sixth Germany (0 + 6) while Lisa Vittozzi (0 + 4) gives in on skis and closes seventh at 2.43.1
